SOAR Bakersfield is gaining momentum as we work together to build a more resilient future for our city. Here's what we've accomplished since our launch:

Each workshop will cover the same information and will provide an opportunity for you to share your input— attend the one that works best for you. Your input will help guide a future that reflects our community’s values. By attending, you’ll:

• Share your thoughts on what matters most to you
• Engage with other community members and City officials

In March, we hosted the first virtual workshop for SOAR Bakersfield. This workshop introduced the project’s vision and planning framework, while giving community members an opportunity to share what matters most to them.

The input gathered during the workshop helped identify preliminary themes and opportunity areas for SOAR Bakersfield. These community perspectives are guiding the planning process as we begin developing concrete strategies rooted in what Bakersfield communities value most.
