California State Parks is hosting a series of public workshops in February 2026 to provide information about the General Plan and to obtain input to help guide the plan’s development. To maximize opportunities for public involvement, two in-person workshops and one virtual workshop will be held.
Each workshop is from 6 – 7:30 p.m. and will cover the same material. Registration is appreciated but is not required.

The public and all interested stakeholders will have multiple opportunities to learn about, provide input on and influence the development of the Salton Sea SRA General Plan. These include stakeholder meetings, public workshops, surveys, community engagement events, virtual engagement activities, and opportunities to review and comment on draft planning documents.
California State Parks will provide notification of public engagement opportunities through a variety of channels, including updates to this web page, signage, flyers, email blasts and social media posts.
