January was a busy and productive month for the Blue Skies Initiative. Two stakeholder meetings were held to discuss environmental risks affecting the City of Gilroy. City staff met with members of the Technical Advisory Group and local community organizations to discuss how the City can help reduce the impacts of floods, droughts, wildfires, and extreme heat in Gilroy.

The Gilroy Blue Skies Initiative is a collaborative effort with stakeholders and community input and will ultimately develop a plan to guide future development requirements, with the goal of decreasing greenhouse gas emissions in our community.
